Policies

General policies

The priority of enrollment will be managed according to the registration options available at your child's school.

I. Registration online or by phone only

Entries are processed in real time depending on the time and date they were received online or over the phone. A message left on a voicemail or email is not considered a complete registration until a member of the MK Distribution team has processed it.

Ⅱ. Paper registration only (no online or telephone registration)

Entries will be processed according to the date they were received at the school during the enrollment period.

Ⅲ. Registration online, by phone or by paper

Paper entries will be processed at the end of the registration period.
MK Distribution will send an automatic registration confirmation by email for any registration made online or by paper at the email address provided by the customer.
Entries are processed in real time and as a priority depending on the time and date they were received online or over the phone.

Registration confirmation

I. MK Distribution will send an automatic confirmation by email for any registration made online or by paper at the email address provided by the customer.

Ⅱ. No confirmation will be sent for registrations without a valid email address.

Ⅲ. MK Distribution will contact you in case of a change (lack or surplus of registrations, change of schedule, etc.) either by email or phone. 

Incorrect or incomplete registration

I. MK Distribution cannot be held responsible for errors related to incomplete, illegible or erroneous registration (e.g., disabled phone number or email address, unselected activity, absence from the child’s group or school level, allergies or other medical conditions, return mode after activity or dinner status at school, etc.).

IMPORTANT: If there is a discrepancy between the paper registration document and the information posted on our website, the online version will be considered the correct one.

LATE REGISTRATION

Registration after the deadline, but at least one week before the start of the session

I. You will not be charged any additional fees.

Ⅱ. No guarantee of space for the desired activity.

Ⅲ. Contact MK Distribution by phone at 514-603-6061 or email services@mkdistribution.ca to inform you of available activities.

Late registration, 7 days or less before activities begin

I. An administrative fee of $5 will be added for each child.

Ⅱ. MK Distribution reserves the right to accept or refuse any late enrolment depending on the number of places available and the school’s activities.

Ⅲ. Contact MK Distribution by phone at 514-603-6061 or email services@mkdistribution.ca to inform you of available activities.

Late registration after the start of the session

I. An administrative fee of $5.00 will be added for each registration (online or by paper).

Ⅱ. MK Distribution reserves the right to accept or refuse any late enrolment depending on the number of places available and the school’s activities.

Ⅲ. No discounts will be given for missed sessions.

Iv. Registration after the second week will be made on a pro-rata basis with an administrative fee of $5.00.

MK Distribution adds a $5.00 fee for each late registration, as it results in an administrative workload.

CANCELATION AND REIMBURSEMENT POLICY

A $5.00 administration fee per activity is included in the cost of each activity, regardless of the registration method used (online, by phone or paper coupon) or the payment method chosen.

Cancellation of activity by MK Distribution (lack or surplus of registrations)

I. Proposal of an alternative activity

MK Distribution will credit the amount paid for the cancelled activity to the MK Distribution account and contact the parent (by email or phone) to offer available alternatives.

If the alternative activity costs less than the one originally chosen, the residual credit will be left to the parent’s account for a future registration.

If the alternative activity is more expensive, the parent will have to pay the difference without additional administrative costs.

Ⅱ. Full credit (no administrative fees)

If no alternative is suitable. All credit is visible online when the parent is logged into their MK Distribution account. See Credit to the Family Account below.

Ⅲ. Full refund (no administrative costs)

If requested, MK Distribution will reimburse the full cost of the registration fee.

Credit to the family account

Any credit to the parent's account is visible online when the parent is logged into their MK Distribution account. This credit is valid for any future registration, for any child in the family. The system will automatically use the amount credited first at the next registration to determine the balance to be paid, if applicable.

Cancellation of registration BY the parent
More than one week before the start of the session (2 options)

1. Full credit (no administrative fees)
2. Full refund (no administrative costs)

A week or less before the start of the session (2 options)

1. Credit minus administrative costs of $5.00
2. Reimbursement less $5.00 for administrative costs

After the start of the session (2 options)

1. Credit minus the administrative fee of $5.00 and the cost of the courses already taken.
2. Reimbursement less the administrative fee of $5.00 and the cost of the courses already taken.

Reimbursement to the parent

I. The refund will be made online directly on the credit or debit card for payments made online, and a confirmation email will be sent to the parent during the transaction.

Ⅱ. The refund will be made by cheque at the parent’s name for payments received by cheque or cash.

Ⅲ. The cheque will be sent through the child’s school or mailed if a full postal address is provided.

IV. No administration fee will be added if MK Distribution makes the decision to cancel the activity (e.g. In case of a lack or surplus of registrations).

V. An administrative fee of $5.00 will apply for a refund requested by the parent (e.g. : opt-out requested by the parent) one week or less before the start of the session.

VI. A 5-day working day is required to make the refund online.

VII. Approximately 10 business days after the date of deposit of the cheque is required to ensure the full transfer of funds before issuing the refund.

Explanation of calculation for credit or partial repayment

The credit calculation applies to future business weeks only, less $5 administration fee.
For example: 8-hour course session at $100.00 and unsubscribe after 2 hours out of
8: $100.00 – $5.00 registration fee – $95.00 for 8 hours, so $71.25 to be credited for 6 hours remaining.
The electronic credit will be visible on the customer's account within 5 business days of the opt-out request (it will be possible to see in red the balance credited under the account balance).
Example: A $25.00 credit will be displayed "Credit: $25.00."
If the customer prefers a refund instead of the credit, the refund will be issued within 10 business days of the opt-out application.
For example: 8-hour course session at $100.00 and unsubscribe after 2 hours out of 8
: $100.00 – $5.00 registration fee – $95.00 for 8 hours of classes, so $71.25 to be refunded for 6 hours of classes remaining.

If the child is absent

No refunds or credits will be given to the parent whose child is absent from extracurricular activity for one of the following reasons:

I. Medical reasons, travel or any other personal reason.

Ⅱ. Help with homework or any academic activity at school.

Ⅲ. Parents forget about the activity.

IV. Refusal to participate of the child.

V. Child being late.

VI. Special or educational activities organized by the school.

A credit or refund may be issued if the child’s medical condition prevents him from participating in more than 3 consecutive courses.

If an educational outing or other special activity organized by the school results in the absence of 50% or more of the group of children enrolled in an activity, the activity’s session will be resumed at a later date.

If this special activity results in the absence of less than 50% of the group, the session will not be resumed by the specialized supplier.

If your child is missing a course due to an error on the part of the MK Distribution Team, animation staff or school, please contact us at 514-603-6061 to evaluate possible solutions.

Expulsion from activity

I. Compliance with the school's code of living is mandatory for all participants in the activities offered by MK Distribution.

Ⅱ. Expulsion for one or more full sessions of the activity is an extraordinary measure and is used as a last resort after several unsuccessful steps (verbal warnings, appeal to parents, intervention of a member of the school, etc.).

Ⅲ. No refund will be made if the child is expelled from the activity due to non-compliance with the school's code of life.

Other service charges

Activity not payed or outstanding balance

I. An administrative fee of $5.00 will be added to any outstanding balance 3 business days before the start of the session (except for previously pre-authorized credit card payments).

Ⅱ. These fees are used to cover the time allowed to review files.

Ⅲ. If a customer defaults after several unsuccessful steps, MK Distribution reserves the right to deny access to the client’s child for the  activity to one or more remaining sessions. This extraordinary measure is used as a last resort.

Returned cheques

I. $25 fee for any cheque returned (insufficient funds, closed account, etc.)

Pre-authorized payment refused

I. $25 fee for any pre-authorized payment refused (expired or invalid card, payment stopped by the customer, etc.) or customer payment challenge.

Ⅱ. Contact MK Distribution at 514-603-6061 as required before a pre-authorized payment is scheduled to cancel at no cost.

Parent is late at the end of the activity (for afternoon activities)

I. If the child does not attend child care, the parent must pick up the child immediately after the activity.
Ⅱ. $10 fee for a 10-minute delay after the end of the activity.
Ⅲ. $5 fee for every 5 minutes extra.
IV. Repeated parental delays may result in their child being excluded in subsequent weeks without reimbursement.

PAYMENT TERMS

I. You can pay the full amount in one transaction when registering online by credit card (Visa or Master Card) or Interac. The payment, in Canadian currency only ($CND), will be listed in your statement as MK Distribution. Paysafe handles secure transactions by credit card, debit card and electronic cheque.

Ⅱ. Some schools have the option of paying the balance in 2 electronic installments: a first payment of 50% is required at the time of registration and the other 50% will be automatically deducted 30 days later. You will not have to return to pay, as the transaction will have been pre-authorized. Each payment will be recorded in your statement under the name MK Distribution. Paysafe handles secure transactions by Visa, Master Card, Interac and online electronic cheque.

Ⅲ. You must write the child’s name and school on the cheque at MK Distribution. Post-dated cheques are not accepted.

IV. The cheque will be deposited upon receipt.

V. The cheque or cash must be brought to the school during the registration period in a sealed envelope for MK Distribution.

Our Services are not for anyone under the age of 13. We do not collect identifiable personal information from children under the age of 13.
